Tips and advice on buying Clear PVC protector for your table.

Clear PVC table protector is produced in various thicknesses, for simplicity we will refer to the types as ‘Standard’ and ‘Extra thick’ as this defines how the protector is used by the customer. Standard is used with an overhang, Extra Thick is cut to the size of the table top.

Standard (thin) PVC is measured in ‘mm’ or ‘microns’. 100 microns means 0.1mm thick. 200 microns means 0.2mm thick and 300 microns means 0.3mm thick. For home use, 300 micron is an ideal choice. The product is generally used with an overhang, as the PVC is a relatively thin layer, the pvc will drape over the table top edge without any problems. Standard Clear PVC Table Protector is cut from a roll and the maximum roll width is generally 135cm.

Standard Clear PVC table protector is perfect for home use, very easy to wipe clean and can be cut easily with a sharp knife or scissors. There is minimal shrinkage with the product. Like all vinyl PVC based table covers heat protection is limited to 90c.
