Soft Furnishing Remnant Fabrics

Some useful information

At Blue Jigsaw there are two sides to our business. Blue Jigsaw and Portobello Interiors.

Blue Jigsaw supplies hospitality textiles (this web site).

Portobello Interiors is a full service Interiors company. Our workshop and cutting room use lots of soft furnishing fabrics, from a wide range of textile suppliers, which in turn generates the remnants; we sell these remants on the Blue Jigsaw website. Prices are at least half price from the proper RRP selling price. Portobello Interiors does not sell general fabric to the public, other than remnants.

Sometimes, we have the fabric FR treated (flame retardant) either to Crib 3 or Crib 5 standard - so these fabric are generally used in upholstery projects.

Before deciding to list any fabric as remnant, the fabric is first inspected. Quite often, end of rolls can be subject to creasing and pressure marks. We do not sell any fabric affected by significant creasing or pressure marks. If a remnant fabric has any defect it will be clearly displayed on the listing.

When we measure the length of the fabric we list the useable length of the fabric. Quite often the actual length will be 10-15cm longer.

Most remnant fabrics are stored in roll format. You have the option to purchase the fabric folded, or, for an additional cost we can send the fabric rolled. We would always recommend that you consider choosing the roll despatch option, but folded despatch will keep the cost down.

Finally, if you decide to purchase some remnant fabric, our online discount codes will not be applied to the purchase. All remnant fabric is excluded from any further discount.
