Polyvine Decorators Varnish is a popular choice for regular Annie Sloan painters; the Chalk Paint requires a sealing coat and there are various products on the market to choose from. The Dead Flat finish is by far the most popular product variant used within the Polyvine range for sealing Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.

Polyvine Decorators Varnish is available in Dead Flat and Gloss finish and comes in a choice of sizes.

At Blue Jigsaw, we have used the Decorators Varnish for many years on customer projects - consider using a mini roller tray and mini roller to apply the varnish and finish off internal angles and corners with a brush. The mini roller application will help you apply a thin even coat, nice and quickly. Two thin coats is best, three coats for heavy traffic areas.

When applying, simply ignore the little air bubbles and roller lines and do not overwork the varnish; the bubbles and lines will simply disappear.
