Acrylic Coated Tablecloths - Care

Looking after them

Wipe up spills and stains as soon as possible, use a mild liquid detergent if required. The longer a stain is left on the fabric surface the deeper the stain will penetrate into the fabric. Food stains with high amounts of food colouring should be wiped clean as soon as practically possible.

Acrylic coated tablecloths, unlike oilcloth and PVC tablecovers, can be machine washed at low temperature (30c - 40c). Frequent machine washing will gradually erode away the water repellent (Teflon) treatment, so infrequent washing is recommended. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners during washing and do not dry clean. After washing, the fabric can be pressed on the underside, the process of ironing helps to re-activate the stain repellent coating. Use a warm to medium setting on your iron.

Like most things in life you get what you pay for. Acrylic coated tablecloths undergo multiple industrial processes and various raw materials are used to create the finished product. At Blue Jigsaw our products are made to high quality standards. The products are not indestructible but understanding a little bit about the product can help customers get the best from their purchase.
