What are Teflon Coated Tablecloths ?
Anti Stain Treatment explained
Teflon is a treatment for woven fabrics to provide wipe-clean or anti-stain protection to a fabric surface.
Teflon is a brand name for anti stain treatment, it is not the name of the physical chemical process used in the fabric treatment. 'Anti stain' treatment is the generic production process used on textiles.
Teflon is a superior product compared to generic anti stain treatments. Only products legitimately treated with Teflon branded treatment should exhibit the Teflon logo on product advertising.
Teflon can be applied to woven fabrics with or without Acrylic Coatings. Acrylic Coated tablecloths with Anti Stain protection are first coated with Acrylic liquid compound, then the coated fabric is treated with the Anti Stain treament to produce the final fabric. Roll stock fabric is converted into finished goods to produce Wipeclean Acrylic Coated tablecloths with the addition of an anti stain treament.
As you may now begin to understand, the wipeclean Acrylic Coated Tablecloth production process is extensive, there are several key variables that define the true quality of the finished product. Production variables include the actual base fabric quality, printing process, acrylic coating and anti stain treament.
At Blue Jigsaw, the majority of our Acrylic Coated Tablecloths (but not all), display the Teflon logo, which means the products are made to the highest quality standards.
Blue Jigsaw is a UK manufacturer of wipeclean tablecloths; we are able to produce a massive range of shapes and sizes from our extensive stock of Acrylic Coated fabrics.
