Duni Poppies in the UK

Customer update on product updates

Duni acquired the Poppies Europe business during late 2024, we are now starting to see the impact of the acquisition in the UK with the launch of the Duni Poppies 2026 tabletop product brochure.

For existing UK customers of both product brands in the hospitality sector there is ‘change’ to be understood and navigated. The new company, Duni Poppies Ltd, now has the benefit of a UK based manufacturing and distribution facility which means a significant proportion of the Tissue napkin and Airlaid napkin product ranges will be UK produced.

Historically both companies produced their own unique ‘uni colour’ palette; the two palettes have now been streamlined into one, which has generated some shade variations and name changes, so depending which brand you were aligned to, there will be changes to contend with. It is worth pointing out the the UK will now have a different uni colour pallete compared to other European countries that continue to use the standard Duni colour palette; Is this a wise decision ? Watch this space…..

Duni Poppies UK produced products now have a new product code (SKUs) system based on the historical Poppies product numbering system. The remainder of the Duni Poppies product range, not produced in the UK, continue to use the existing Duni stock code system of a 6 digit numerical SKU.

Blue Jigsaw has always been a supplier of Duni products, selling the full range of Duni branded products. During 2026 our UK warehouse will start to hold both UK produced and Globally produced Duni products. UK customers will start to see new branding on product packaging and changes to carton sizes on some product ranges. For Blue Jigsaw the product changes will take place throughout the course of the year.

At this early stage of the re branding process, UK hospitality customers will start to see changes on the core Tissue and Dunisoft Airlaid napkins reasonably quickly however Dunilin, Dunicel, Evolin and Dunisilk products will remain largely unchanged and continue to be produced using existing Duni production facilities.

There is one UK product range that has now become a little more complicated to understand - Dunisoft. Dunisoft has always been a product name specifically for napkins across the global Duni product range. Now, Dunisoft paper is being used in the UK to produce both Napkins and Tablecovers in the UK. So now, for regular users of premium paper tablecovers, in addition to Dunicel, Dunisilk and Evolin you now have the option of Dunisoft tablecovers, available in a limited range of colours, White, Cream and Black.

At this early stage of the season, any customer requiring further help on understanding the Duni Poppies products should contact us.
