PVC Vinyl Lace is a wipe clean or machine washable product. Wipe clean with a damp cloth using a mild detergent or machine wash at 40C. Vinyl Lace can not be ironed or tumble dried.
General advice on product selection
Food and drink items containing strong food colourings may stain wipe clean products. To limit staining we recommend stains are removed promptly. The longer the stain is left on the fabric the harder it will be to remove the stain.
Egg yolk, food sauces (pasta, curry etc), tomato sauce, mint sauce, red wine are examples of food and drink that contain strong colourings.
Our range of wipe clean products are broadly broken down into four types of products;
1. Vinyl PVC without backing material - Vinyl Lace.
2. Vinyl PVC with non woven backing material, this includes our Essential, Celebration and Trendy Line ranges.
3. PVC Coated Cotton - Plain and patterned cotton fabrics with a PVC coated top surface.
4. Acrylic Coated Cotton - this is our Eclipse range which has a soft Acrylic coating on the top surface.
Vinyl PVC products are the most robust with regard stain removal. Vinyl products without backing material can be machine washed eg Vinyl Lace.
PVC coated cotton fabrics are thicker and provide greater physical protection to the table top when compared to Vinyl PVC products. The PVC coating layer will absorb stains if they are not removed promptly and stains will be more difficult to remove if left on the surface for any length of time.
Acrylic coated cotton offers a more sophisticated coating to the fabric. The coating is softer than PVC and allows the fabric to drape more naturally. The Acrylic coating layer will absorb stains if they are not removed promptly and stains will become more difficult to remove if left on the surface for any length of time. PVC is a harder wearing coating than Acrylic.
